Format of the conference

ESANN 2022 will be organized in hybrid mode: both in-person and online participation will be possible.

Speakers will have the choice between on-site or online presentation, and may indicate their preference for oral (talk) or poster presentation; the four modes of presentation will be:

1. on-site talks:
  • 15 minutes live talk broadcasted for online participants,
  • followed by a 5-minutes question time asked by both on-site and online participants.
2. online talks:
  • 15 minutes pre-recorded video (or live talk) broadcasted both in the conference room and online,
  • followed by a 5-minutes question time asked by both on-site and online participants.
3. on-site poster:
  • 1-minute live spotlight during a plenary session, broadcasted for online participants;
  • traditional poster display in a conference room and discussion with on-site participants;
  • 5-minutes prerecorded video made available to all participants;
  • specific discussion channel open on the online conference software for discussions with online participants.
4. online poster
  • 1-minute prerecorded spotlight broadcasted both in the conference room and online;
  • 5-minutes prerecorded video made available to all participants;
  • specific discussion channel open on the online conference software for discussions with on-site and online participants.

The number of in-person attendees will be limited for sanitary reasons.  In the current circumstances, the maximum number of in-person attendees would be limited to around 80, which probably corresponds to around 80% of the speakers (combined talks and posters).  This number may be adapted to changing sanitary circumstances before the conference.  In-person registration priority will be given to speakers; additional in-person participants will be accepted based on availability.
