Summary of presentation formats
The following details are based on the assumption that we will use the Whova conference software for online talks and participation. They will be adapted if another software is used.
ESANN 2023 will be organized in hybrid mode. This is a summary of how in-person and online participants will listen to the talks, see the posters and interact with the speakers. Please read this summary in full as attendee. Then, if you are a speaker, please read carefully the corresponding more detailed section on the information for speakers page; it includes instructions on the files that you need to send us before the conference.
Talk presentation by in-person speaker
- In-person participants attend the live presentation in the conference room and ask questions live.
- Online participants listen to the live talk on Whova, and may ask questions through the Q/A in Whova.
Poster presentation by in-person speaker
- In-person participants attend the live 1-minute poster spotlight in the conference room; there is no question time.
- In-person participants attend the poster display in the conference room (every day, end of the afternoon).
- Online participants listen to the live 1-minute poster spotlight on Whova; there is no Q/A.
- Online participants have access to the poster in PDF on Whova.
- Online participants may post questions to the speakers through a specific discussion topic in Whova for each poster.
Talk presentation by online speaker
- In-person participants attend the prerecorded presentation in the conference room; question time will be live, with the online speaker connected through Whova.
- Online participants listen to the presentation on Whova, and may ask questions through the Q/A in Whova.
Poster presentation by online speaker
- In-person participants attend the prerecorded 1-minute poster spotlight in the conference room; there is no question time.
- In-person participants have access to the poster in PDF in Whova.
- In-person participants may post questions to the speakers through a specific discussion topic in Whova for each poster.
- Online participants listen to the prerecorded 1-minute poster spotlight on Whova; there is no Q/A.
- Online participants have access to the poster in PDF on Whova.
- Online participants may post questions to the speakers through a specific discussion topic in Whova for each poster.
